"Freelance writing opportunities for Developers"

Here are my Learning from Day-3 of Bootcamp:-

1) Having your blog is helpful to land a technical writing gig(Not necessary). Making good content, concise and easy to read and sharing it on socials can help in marketing yourself and creating an audience.

2) When you publish an article and when recruiters see it, and if they wanna know more about you then they move towards your socials, your online presence. So, it's very beneficial for you to engage in the community, do replies to tweets, and share your good work.

3) Leverage AI tools for outlining, Grammer checking, formatting, and making summaries.

4) When you are writing a blog, try to explain it to people or at least you have to be ready to explain if someone asks about it. You should be able to explain your blog to technical as well as Non-Technical people. This can also help you to get better at communication.

5) Contributing to Open source documentation of the companies is the best way to practice and make your skills tested at the same time. In doing this, you can also get an idea of how the documents of these companies get written.

6) If you wanna make a full-time career in technical writing or just wanna make some money from it, just reach out to people who are doing this and ask them about their work. What are their daily tasks, how do they write blogs, what are some best practices and all...

7) Outlines are the game changer for any blog.

8) When writing a blog, try to provide callouts like highlighting points with different colors, and making bulleted lists, and infographics. All these things make your blog more visually appealing and engaging at the same time.

9) In my opinion, At first try to leverage the sites like Hashnode, medium, and Dev to for writing and publishing a blog, and after some time make your own platform. "Start small and grow it consistently"

10) When starting, don't think much about what to post and what not-to. My idea is a quick introduction about yourself is a great way to start a blog. I did this so it's tried and tested.
